Mont Destin is a boutique wine estate situated on Valley Road, 4.5 kilometers from the R44 turn-off on the N1 towards Stellenbosch.
Ernest and Samantha Bürgin discovered this magical piece of land with beautiful views all around and named it their “Mountain of Destiny”.
They also offer guest accommodation on the estate: Mont Destin lodge is an African inspired, rustic, thatched rondawel nestled at the foot of the Simonsberg Mountains. It is self catering and equipped with all the basic amenities including luxury linen, bath towels and gowns. There is an honesty bar, tea-and-coffee making facilities and place to braai (BBQ) on the wooden terrace. The private secluded bath and shower are outdoors, hence the rondawel is only available during the warmer months of the year.
Here you can also experience a wine bath in Mother Nature au natural. This vino experience involves soaking in a heady mix of red wine and warm water, to create an intoxicating and sensual experience.
