Oldenburg Vineyards is an independent family run boutique winery aiming to make some of the finest and most respected wines.

Situated in a small corner of Stellenbosch, it is tucked away in the spectacular mountains in an area known as Banghoek Valley less than an hour from Cape Town. They believe they have some of the finest terroir in South Africa, with some magnificent views, and a truly unique and beautiful setting.

They handcraft small quantities of both red and white wines, using only grapes from their estate. Careful study of their soils, temperatures, wind variations and sunlight aspects led them to planting Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Syrah, Merlot, Chardonnay and Chenin Blanc, plus a few interesting blending varietals.

Central to their belief is the fact that great wines only come from the highest quality grapes. What happens in their vineyards needs to be without compromise in order to deliver the potential offered by our mountain terroir. The stunning natural beauty of their location helps to inspire them to take a sustainable approach to the vineyards, their business, and the surrounding environment in general.

They believe that by sharing their farm with the many visitors that arrive, whether for a unique Cellar Door experience or for a stay at the stunningly situated Homestead, they are investing in the guest experience which enables them to connect with the vineyards and better understand their wines.

They also feel it important that those who work on the farm, their families, and their local community all need to grow and benefit from the journey that is Oldenburg Vineyards.

They invite you to share the beauty of their farm, their accommodation, their wines and their hospitality, and they trust you enjoy them as much as they do in providing them.
