South African bubbly Papillon celebrates its 30th anniversary this year. Founded and still produced by Van Loveren Family Vineyards in the Robertson Wine Valley to this day, the range has proven by steadfast popular vote, its eminent suitability for any occasion.

Now, Papillon marks the event of its birthday with dramatic new packaging – right through to the alcohol-free Papillon Sparkling White and Papillon Sparkling Blush.

Since its inception, Papillon alcohol-free has offered fun-seekers a perfect solution, whenever they want and wherever they are. It’s even great centre-stage at family gatherings of young and old. No special celebration required!

Papillon was launched in 1987, the year Van Loveren celebrated its 50th anniversary of farming. Its name was inspired by butterflies of the lush, public garden at Van Loveren; Papillon is the French name for the majestic little insect.

The success behind the range has always been its broad appeal, which caters for tastes from dry to sweet. It has also become a beverage not only brought out for special occasions. Papillon is enjoyed by itself or with food – even mains and desserts; among friends and family or as a simple and stylish refresher at the end of a long day.

Make mine alcohol-free

With a fresh new look, Papillon alcohol-free doesn’t just taste good – it’s snazzy too.

The aromas and flavours of Papillon Non-alcoholic Sparkling White reflect exactly what it is made of – sun-kissed grapes of a thriving vineyard. The source of the fruity, sweet grape juice is white Muscadel fruit. It’s great as an aperitif, but pairs brilliantly with fruit and desserts.

Papillon Non-alcoholic Blush is a delightful sparkling rose-coloured grape juice with festive flavours of fresh berries and candy floss. It’s fruity, sweet and made from red Muscadel fruit. Blush is refreshing by itself, but will highlight flavours in fruit, desserts too, and especially chocolate.

In addition to a new packaging, the full range also has a newcomer. The Papillon Chardonnay-Pinot Noir Brut Rosé is that latest must-have to the portfolio that comprises a Brut and Demi-Sec as well as the two alcohol-free variations.

Papillon is available countrywide at prices ranging between R54.99 and R59.99. The non-alcoholic Papillon Sparkling White and Sparkling Blush sell for between R44.99 and R49.99.
