Tucked away in the heart of the Franschhoek Wine Valley with the majestic mountains as their backdrop is where you’ll find GlenWood. Home to a range of superb award-winning wines, visitors will now have the opportunity to samples these in a unique Fine Wine and Food Experience.

Presented in the comfort of the estate’s Tasting Room, guests are served with what can best be described as a Tasting Palette of delectable canapés. Each canapé is paired with one of the six award-winning wines in the range, to showcase their versatility. You are guided through the tasting of the food and wine, allowing you time to sample and absorb their flavours in what can only be described as a culinary match made in heaven. After tasting the selection guests are given the opportunity to choose their lunch main course from one of the canapés sampled, as well as the wine to accompany it. The menu caters for all tastes and comprises mostly locally produced products, which include cheeses, meats, fish, seasonal vegetables, herbs and olive oil.
  

The Fine Food and Wine Experience costs R395 per person and includes a welcome drink, the canapé and wine Tasting Palette, a main course and an additional glass of wine to enjoy with your meal. The Tasting Room is open for lunch every day except Wednesdays and booking is essential to avoid disappointment as the venue will only accommodate a maximum of 20 guests at a seating to make it an unforgettable experience.
