Be sure to watch the PIWOSA story of #LiquidArt continuing to unfold on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram where this beautiful series of ‘Wine Still Lifes’ created for each of the eleven PIWOSA members is being revealed.
Journey's End Vineyards: Among the long rolling south-facing slopes of the Stellenbosch winelands, caressed by cool coastal breezes, lies the boutique winery and vineyard, Journey’s End. With only a handful of premium, hand-crafted wines produced here, the focus is very much on quality. The Gabb family philosophy is one of minimum intervention. The aim of which is to create top-quality, single-vineyard and appellation wines that intricately integrate the tension between remaining true to the terroir and finding their own unique expression of it.
Ken Forrester Wines: Situated on the slopes of the Helderberg Mountain, in the heart of the Stellenbosch wine region, their vineyards are commonly referred to as the ‘Home of Chenin Blanc’ and other premium award-winning wines. Over the years their range of top quality wines has received massive national and international acclaim with hundreds of awards and accolades. Ken Forrester’s philosophy has always been to create a range of handcrafted, individually made wines that suitably complement a wide variety of food styles and provide excellent value.
Klein Constantia Wines: Klein Constantia is set amidst ancient trees and lush greenery on the upper foothills of the Constantiaberg, with superb views across the Constantia Valley and False Bay. The 146-hectare wine estate originally formed part of ‘Constantia’, a vast property established in 1685 by Simon van der Stel. This particular valley was chosen not only for its beauty, but also for the decomposed granite soils on its slopes, gently cooled by ocean breezes. Prized by leaders and aristocracy throughout 18th Century Europe, Constantia’s Vin de Constance was revived by Klein Constantia in 1986, reaffirming this unique natural sweet wine’s place in history. Today, Klein Constantia continues to make some of South Africa’s top wines and the world’s best dessert wines; wines that reflect the cool Constantia climate, as well as the estate’s historic tradition.
PIWOSA look forward to welcoming you at CapeWine 2018.
