Stellenbosch heats up winter with Stadsaal Soirees

Stellenbosch Wine Routes is adding a warm touch to its incredibly popular Stellenbosch Street Soirees, by hosting a series of winter events in Stellenbosch’s beautiful stadsaal (town hall) in Plein Street.

This new Stadsaal Soiree will have all the elements of the traditional street fête but hosted indoors to cater for the colder winter months.

The first in this cosy but vibrant series will take place on Wednesday 5 June, followed with Stadsaal Soirees on 17 July and 14 August, from 18:00 to 20:00.

Some of Stellenbosch’s most popular wine brands like Jordan Wine Estate, Thelema Mountain Vineyards, Villiera Wine Estate, Lanzerac Wines, Simonsig Estate, Haskell Vineyards and L'Avenir Wine Estate will offer tastings of their wine, alongside delicious fare by Joostenberg Bistro/Deli, Turk Spirit, Neethlingshof Restaurant, Biltong & Brew among others. In keeping with the energy associated with these soirees, festival attendees can also look forward to music by The Kink.

Tickets for the Stadsaal Soiree will be sold exclusively at the door at R150 per person, which includes a glass and twelve wine tasting tokens. Food by local restaurants and vendors priced separately.
