Groote Post's 'Made With Love' February Country Market

Take a break, round up the family and head out to the country to join the Pentz family in the gardens at Groote Post for their February ‘Made with Love’ Country Market on Sunday 23rd February between 10h00 and 15h00.

The terrace in front of Hilda’s Kitchen and adjacent to the Cellar will be brimming with market stalls ‘Decked Out with Love’, offering delicious and beautiful country offerings including artisan foods, arts and crafts, homeware, clothing, décor, gifts, jewellery, accessories, toys, fresh produce and more – all ‘Made with Love’. Local is always lekker at Groote Post, with a divine selection of Darling gourmet produce including: Darling Honey, Burger Fellas, the popular Darling Brew and of course Groote Post’s well-loved wines. Look out for popular newcomers to the market such as Sunshine Food Company’s Vegan Stand, Asian Bites (Authentic Asian food) and more… The Bubbly & Oyster stand, to celebrate the month of love, will no doubt be extremely popular.

After browsing through the market, relax on the beautiful lawns under the trees tucking into yummy treats from the market and enjoying the popular music and entertainment provided by DJ Riaan from Old School Entertainment. Groote Post’s award-winning restaurant, Hilda’s Kitchen, will be open as usual for the market, but booking is essential.

The little ones, as always, will be busy with a wide variety of kiddies’ activities: tractor trips, guided horse rides and, of course, the popular playground and rolling lawns.

There are 3 Lucky Draws at every market - at 12h30, 13h30 and 14h30. The winners will each receive a hamper with products from the market and wine from Groote Post, but you must be at the draw to win. The 3 winners from each market will go towards a BIG DRAW at the end of the season. The lucky winner will win a 2x night stay in Yzerfontein. Please note the overall winner must be at the last market in April 2020 to win the big prize.

The Groote Post Market is an outing for the whole family including one’s furry children, but dogs must please be kept on a leash at all times.

Alternatively, take the R307 out of Darling towards Cape Town and turn off at the Darling Hills Road. After 7 km turn left to the Groote Post Cellar.
