Survivor Pinotage, acclaimed flag bearer of this proudly South African grape variety, is the pride of the Swartland with two prized renditions in the Reserve and Barrel Selection wine ranges.

Firmly rooted in the Swartland these unbridled and authentic, site specific wines are a tribute to the spirited indigenous Nguni cow that stands proud on every bottle.

“Pinotage is the cornerstone of our Wine of Origin Swarland wines. Their profound sense of place and authenticity is tangible in every bottle. Our Survivor Pinotage is a true expression of the best that these low-yielding vineyards fanned by evening breezes from the Atlantic can produce,” says winemaker Ben Snyman.

With two ABSA Top 10 awards, the Trophy for the Best South African Pinotage, Michelangelo Double Gold and Mundus Vini Gold medals in its hall of fame, Survivor stands tall as one of South Africa’s top Pinotage producers.

“We always knew that our flagship wine would be Pinotage, the vinous fingerprint of South Africa. It is something we are immensely proud of,” adds Snyman.

Survivor Pinotage selection
The limited release Survivor Reserve Pinotage is a thoroughbred South African wine showcasing the essence of the Swartland. Only 1 500 individually numbered bottles are produced annually from small parcels of the best Swartland vines. Crafted with the passion and artistry of the Survivor winemaking team, the wine is a hearty expression of black cherries, black olives and chocolate complemented by elegant notes of cedar and oak.

Also made of 100% Swartland grapes, the Survivor Pinotage from the more accessible Barrel Selection range entices with hints of prune, plum and cherry complemented by elegant notes of spice and cedar.

These meticulously crafted wines can be purchased online at https://survivorwines.com/wine-shop/ or from selected outlets countrywide.
