Steenberg Market celebrates women-led entrepreneurship

The month long celebration of inspiring women culminates on Friday, 27 August 2021 with a #WomenInspired Market at Steenberg Farm in the heart of the Constantia Wine Valley.

The vibrant all day market to be held on the outstretched Manor House lawns at Steenberg from 10h00 till 18h00, features hand-picked local women-led businesses who will be selling their innovative creations. From candles, jewellery, home décor and stationary, to clothing for all ages and golf wear, visitors to the #WomenInspired Market will be spoilt for choice.

Singer/songwriter Dani Villé will be entertaining visitors with her personal interpretation of popular covers as well as her own original music.

Steenberg will be rolling out the picnic blankets for a relaxing day spent browsing and lazing on the lawn with friends while sipping fine wines and tucking into delicious eats from Tryn and Bistro Sixteen82. Think seared beef & sesame ginger salad; sticky pork or Jack fruit bao buns; truffle & parmesan fries; and Chef Kerry Kilpin’s ever so moreish paprika dusted calamari with garlic aioli. There will also be plenty of sweet treats to nibble on.

A selection of Steenberg wines will be available by the glass or bottle to enjoy on the lawn. Raise a glass with the much loved Steenberg 1682 Chardonnay Cap Classique, or taste the quintessential Steenberg Sauvignon Blanc. With spring on the doorstep, Steenberg Ruby Rosé is a perfect fit as is the easy drinking red blend, Steenberg Stately.
