Nuy Valley inspires notably fruity 2023 Chenin and Sauvignon Blanc

The fertile soil and favourable climate of the Nuy Valley in the Breede River once again inspired winemakers.

The results can now be tasted in the newest additions to Nuy Wine Cellar's popular Inspiration collection: the Nuy Inspiration Chenin Blanc 2023 and the Nuy Inspiration Sauvignon Blanc 2023.

Although best known for its award-winning muscadel, Nuy Winery is equally loved for its wide range of affordable, high-quality wines. Previous vintages of both the 100% Chenin Blanc and 100% Sauvignon Blanc from the Inspiration series have won prestigious accolades, such as Veritas and Terroir awards.

According to cellar master Christo Pienaar, the 2023 vintage will deliver remarkably fruity wines for fans of these two varieties.

Pienaar believes the Nuy Inspiration Chenin Blanc 2023 is an excellent example of this versatile cultivar. “Aromas of fresh guava and fruit salad in this Chenin also follow through on the palate,” says Pienaar. “Likewise, the Nuy Inspiration Sauvignon Blanc 2023 impresses with the distinctive tropical fruit flavours of this cultivar.”

The Nuy Inspiration Chenin Blanc 2023 is available at R62.00 per bottle or R372.00 per case, while the Nuy Inspiration Sauvignon Blanc 2023 is for sale at R63.00 per bottle or R378.00 per case. The wines are also available for tasting and purchase at Nuy on the Hill, Nuy Wine Cellar’s popular destination on the R60 route between Worcester and Robertson. Opening hours are Monday to Friday from 09:00 to 17:00 and Saturdays and Sundays from 09:00 to 16:00.
