Rosé All Day With Blaauwklippen’s Rosé 2023
09:54:00When the blending component is Zinfandel (62%) and Malbec (38%) you are guaranteed of a stellar Rosé.
When the producer happens to be Blaauwklippen in Stellenbosch you know this is going to be a wine everyone will be talking about.
The grapes for this wine were sourced from vineyards planted in Tukulu and Kroonstad soils (Zinfandel), while the vines responsible for the Malbec grapes were planted in Klapmuts soil. Picked by hand, the grapes were transported to Blaauwklippen’s cellar for processing. Light whole bunch pressing resulted in optimal flavour and light colour extraction. The result is a delicate rose gold-coloured wine with notes of strawberries, Turkish delight and citrus peel on the nose. According to winemaker, Narina Cloete, the lush and creamy mouthfeel has a mineral core with savoury poise and a refreshing finish.
The better wine to sip on a balmy Summer’s evening, the Blaauwklippen Rosé 2023 can be enjoyed on its own and is the perfect food partner to seafood and light curry dishes. Purchase directly from the Tasting House and online at R160 per bottle. Also available at selected outlets, nationwide.
