For the second consecutive year Van Loveren Family Vineyards has been recognized as the Best Wine Tourism Diversity winner by Wesgro.

This  was announced at the 2025 Best Of Wine Tourism & Wine Tourism Ambassador Awards.

These awards celebrate the advancement of the wine tourism sector, both locally and internationally, and acknowledge wineries that enhance visitor experiences while showcasing the region's cultural and historical richness.

The judging process featured expert judges who conducted impartial assessments through ghost site visits, evaluating wineries based on criteria such as wine quality, visitor experiences, sustainability initiatives, and overall excellence in wine tourism. Ivan Meyer, the Western Cape Minister of Agriculture, Economic Development and Tourism, emphasized the economic significance of the wine industry and applauded the creativity and dedication of its producers.

Judge Janet Pillay noted Van Loveren's commitment to community projects that promote inclusivity and improve local lives. The investment that Van Loveren has put into training and upliftment programs, sets an example for other estates in the area, which contributes to community empowerment within the wine tourism sector.

Van Loveren CEO Philip Retief adds, “This accolade, reaffirms our commitment to transforming the wine tourism landscape while benefiting surrounding communities. This recognition once again recognises Van Loveren as a leading wine destination.”
