The days are longer and the weather (slightly) warmer, which makes a visit to Morgenster Estate in Somerset West the perfect opportunity to bask in the sun on the patio, whilst enjoying their recently launched summer menu. 

This menu pays tribute to the vibrance of Italian flavours, blending exciting additions with comforting classics you know and love.

With locally sourced produce to ensure the freshest flavours besides a few signature dishes, such as the prawn linguine remain on the menu, with the addition of few new Italian-inspired offerings. Introducing a tartare and carpaccio offerings, aficionados of this acquired dish can choose between a seafood, beef or zucchini carpaccio. The Tartare di tonno, which is fresh tuna served with capers, lemon and Morgenster’s Extra Virigin Olive Oil (EVOO).

Other signature dishes, which add extra touches to the essence of Summer are the grilled linefish with mixed salad and the delicious Bresaola served with rocket leaves, grana and EVOO.

Complementing the flavoursome dishes is Morgenster Estate’s range of award-winning wines, also available to purchase directly from the Tasting Room.

The restaurant offers exquisite views of the mountain range and serves as exhibition space for the current exhibition Whispers in the night by Richard Nattoo, in collaboration with Eclectica Contemporary Gallery which will be on display until the end of November.

The updated operating hours for the restaurant during Summer are as follows:

Wednesday to Saturday (11am to 10pm)
Sunday (11am to 6pm)
Monday and Tuesday (closed)
