Constantia Glen wines have again excelled on the international stage with a slew of 90+ ratings from two diverse overseas reviewers. All four of their Bordeaux-style wines have broken the venerable 90-point barrier in Tim Atkin’s 2016 South African Wine Report and were equally revered by Austrian, Falstaff Magazine’s wine review.

Now in its fourth year, Tim Atkin’s 2016 South African Wine Report is the most comprehensive to date. With his vast experience spanning 26 years of tasting South African wines, Atkin is an accomplished wine commentator and British Master of Wine who tasted almost 1 400 local wines for his 2016 Report.

Top scorer in the Constantia Glen camp with 94/100, is the 2015 Constantia Glen TWO. This Bordeaux-style white blend is composed of 71% Sauvignon Blanc and 29% Sémillon. The Sauvignon Blanc component lends graceful vibrancy and fresh acidity, while the Sémillon imparts mouth-coating texture and ageability. The other Constantia Glen wines to hit the Tim Atkin high notes are the flagship reds, the 2012 Constantia Glen FIVE and 2013 Constantia Glen THREE, both achieving 93 points, with the Constantia Glen Sauvignon Blanc receiving a score of 91.

Austria’s Falstaff Magazine is the preeminent and most respected wine, food and travel magazine in the German speaking countries of Europe, and it has rated three Constantia Glen wines with scores of 90+ in their September wine review. The FIVE 2011 received 93 points, whilst the TWO 2015 and THREE 2013 both scored 92.
