Celebrate Pinotage Day at Grande Provence Heritage Wine Estate in Franschhoek on Saturday, 13 October 2018, and take pride in South Africa’s home grown grape variety with a special menu dedicated to Angels Tears Le Chocolat Pinotage.

The 2-course lunch and dinner Pinotage menu stars Le Chocolat braised oxtail served with heirloom beetroot, fondant potato and crispy polenta. For the second course, Chef Guy Bennett has selected artisanal cheeses spruced up with grape chutney, nut loaf and Pinotage poached fig. Each course will be served with a glass of Angels Tears Le Chocolat Pinotage. Guests will also be treated to a palate cleanser between courses and petit fours for the cherry on top.

This easy drinking, smooth and medium-bodied Pinotage is blessed with a heavenly twist of chocolate and generous splashes of ripe plums and red berry fruit. The wine owes its seductive flavour profile to the careful use of well toasted French oak which imparts wonderful chocolate and coffee flavours to the Pinotage.
