The town will once again bursts into life with thousands of visitors who will flock to the Jamestown Strawberry Festival to enjoy the festivities of this warm and friendly community event.

Strawberry lovers can buy and enjoy all things strawberry, including fresh strawberries, strawberry jams, fridge tarts, cupcakes, ice cream and lots more.

The Strawberry Festival, which is a fun outdoor family event, is uniquely located in the main road of the town, with the beautiful mountains as backdrop and has become a highlight on the Stellenbosch social calendar. Residents in the main road open their homes to the public where you can have a cup of tea and delicious scones and cakes or relax by the riverside with the water cobbling along while enjoying a glass of wine and the owner’s signature curry dishes at LC River Garden.

Join us on Friday, 2 November for the first night market from 18:00 – 22:00. Take a break from cooking and bring the family to enjoy supper at this ideal after-work hang-out, a lively meeting place for the whole community. Entry for the night market is free of charge.

On Saturday 3 November the day kicks off with a fun-run/walk through the vineyards. Visitors will enjoy great entertainment by various local artists and performers, fresh strawberries and other farm produce, food stalls, crafts, cocktails and other artisanal stands with local products. For our little strawberry-lovers, we have a new kid’s play area called StrawberryLand, tailored specially for the young ones!

Festival times for Saturday is from 09:00 – 18:00. Tickets are available from Webtickets, any Pick ‘n Pay store and the gate at R25 for adults, and R15 for children older than 12 years and pensioners. Entrance is free for children under 12 years.
