Celebrate Chenin Blanc Festival at Perdeberg Wines

Chenin Blanc has made huge strides in quality and popularity over the last few years, with a passionate group of producers aiming for the stars!

The first “Celebrate Chenin” Festival, presented by Perdeberg Wines will share this passion with wine lovers, showing off styles from serious barrel-fermented whites, easy-drinking fruity summer wine right up to Methóde Cap Classique bubblies and incredible dessert wines.

The Chenin Blanc Association will share some of SA’s top Chenins in two tutored tasting sessions at 11h30 and 14h00 respectively. Tickets for these tastings must be bought upfront on Webtickets at R100 pp as only 20 persons can be accommodated per session.

Wineries offering their wines for tasting and sale directly to visitors include Alleé Bleue, Alvi’s Drift, Badsberg, Darling Cellars, Delheim, Durbanville Hills, Opstal, Perdeberg Wines, Raats Family Wines, Riebeek Cellars, Slanghoek Wine Cellar, Spier, Stellenbosch Vineyards, Stellenrust Wine Estate, Tierhoek Wines, Villiera Wines and Vrede en Lust.

Food Trucks have been specially selected to offer eats that compliment Chenin Blanc and will include sushi, fresh oysters and dishes from “Eat”, Perdeberg’s in-house restaurant. Each ticket includes a R60 food coupon to be used for food purchases. Relaxed live background music will round off the experience. The finale of the Rugby World Cup will be shown on the big screen too!
