The month of love is around the corner, and even though February is usually one of the year's hottest months - it's also the ideal opportunity to refresh in the summer heat.

Summer would not be the same without a divinely delicious glass of Rosé. With their impressive portfolio, Anthonij Rupert Wyne, situated in the heart of the picturesque Franschhoek Wine Valley, has a rosé for every occasion.

With its pale orange coral blush colour, the 2022 Protea Dry Rosé's delicate tangerine and mandarin vie for prominence on the nose with just a hint of red berry fruit too. The mouth has a lovely vibrant freshness with tangy mandarin succulence, balanced by a crisp dryness. Light, vivacious and animated, it offers up nectarine and orange rind flavours with a clean, focused, dry finish. It is the perfect summer wine and works beautifully with seared salmon, your favourite California roll, or a fresh strawberry salad with balsamic dressing. In addition, the distinctive packaging design allows for reuse and recycling, prolonging the product's life cycle and ultimately helping preserve the environment. Available directly from the Tasting Room at R82 per bottle or from select outlets nationwide.

Whether you’ll be spoiling that someone special with a candlelight dinner or a sunset picnic, the 2017 L‘Ormarins Brut Rosé Vintage, with its delicate salmon colour, makes for the perfect Valentine’s accompaniment.

This elegant and statuesque Cap Classique is made from a blend of Pinot Noir (55%) and Chardonnay (45%) grapes. A hand-crafted wine best described as delivering a constant stream of fine bubbles with aromas of citrus zest – naartjie and tangerine – underpinned by toast and red cherries with a briny, maritime nuance. A rich, rounded and full palate with brioche, yeast and baked biscuit notes, all perfectly counterbalanced by a vibrant tang of tangerine and succulent red cherry appeal. A lovely, lingering aftertaste reflective of both an excellent vintage and well-judged time on lees during secondary fermentation.

With Cap Classique increasing its trend as the preferred 'on any occasion' drink, the L'Ormarins Brut Rosé Vintage 2017 is best enjoyed chilled, on its own, or as the perfect partner to Tuna Sashimi or Rainbow Rolls, Duck and Pomegranate Salad, Smoked Venison Carpaccio or Grilled Prawns with Lime and Coriander. Also available directly from the Tasting Room at R190 per bottle or from select specialist wine stores nationwide.
