Ingredients (Serves 2)
Two fresh tuna steaks

For the marinade
1 Tablespoon soy sauce
1 Tablespoon olive oil
2 tablespoons fresh orange juice
1/2 teaspoon dried parsley
1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
1/2 teaspoon minced garlic

For the Salsa
6 Medium size cherry tomatoes or two plum tomato (Nice red and ripe, chopped and seeded.)
6 black pitted and chopped olives
1/2 red onion finely chopped (Optional)
1Jalapéno seeded and chopped (Optional)
Two tablespoons fresh chopped cilantro / coriander
1/2 teaspoon minced garlic
1 Tablespoon lime or lemon juice
Salt & black pepper
Glug good quality olive oil

Method

Step 1
Mix all marinade ingredients well together in a dish and place tuna steaks in the marinade, turn to coat all sides. Cover the dish with lid or plastic wrap and marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.

Step 2
Mix all Salsa ingredients together in a bowl and set aside. (Season just before dishing up.)

Step 3
Preheat a griddle pan that was lightly oiled.
Remove tuna steaks from the marinade and shake off excess..
Sear the tuna for one minute on each side, turning it 45 degrees after 30 seconds.
When done transfer the tuna steak to an air fryer that was pre-heated to 180 degrees Celsius and cook for 3 to 5 minutes.
If you don't have an air fryer, heat your oven to 200 degrees Celsius and cook for 8 - 10 minutes

The time will depend on how pink you want the inside of the steak to be.

Remove the cooked tuna steaks from the air fryer and dish up with the salsa
