Summer Stoep Sessions

Treat yourself to Saturday live musical entertainment on The Manor’s stoep, while spending quality time with friends and family, watching the sun set over the Drakenstein Mountains. Relax over refreshing drinks and utterly more-ish snacks. Sounds kind of perfect, doesn’t it? Booking is recommended, but the music doesn’t cost a cent extra.

Get your groove on at Piekniek & Musiek - Nederburg Sessions

Piekniek en Musiek - Nederburg Sessions is the Cape’s favourite family music festival - an outdoor picnic experience that showcases popular local music artists, known for selling out show after show.

The awesome kids’ play area makes Nederburg the perfect venue for families looking to enjoy a leisurely afternoon outdoors.

Next up, on 19 November, are headliners Kurt Darren, Robbie Wessels and Will Linley, with Me and Mr Green and The Betsies, as supporting acts.

Festive season market

Join in the festivities and stock up on Christmas gifts when the Creative You Market comes to Nederburg from 29 November to 3 December. Meet a special collective of hand-picked artisans who will be showing stunning arts & crafts, fashion, jewellery, leather goods and other gifting items, as well as mouth-watering food and drinks. Market opening times are from 10:00 to 20:00 (Wednesday to Thursday) and 10:00 to 21:00 (Friday to Sunday). The Manor will be open during its usual operating hours (09:00 to 16:00). A fresh new summer menu

Try The Manor’s all-new à la carte breakfast and lunch menu, created by chef Linda Trautmann. With the whole family in mind, the fresh, seasonal and full-flavoured dishes come with an extra dollop of South African warmth and hospitality. A variety of summer sharing platters is also on offer. This is gesellig at its tastiest.

Nederburg’s entire range of fine wines is available to order, as are wine cocktails, beers, ciders, spirits and non-alcoholic options, soft drinks, waters, coffees, and teas.

Relaxing picnics on the lawn

Who doesn’t want leisurely time in the garden under the cool shade of centuries-old trees! Add to that a basket of tasty picnic fare, presented with a bottle of chilled wine of course.

The Manor’s picnics take care of it all. Crockery, cutlery, glasses, napkins, a blanket and comfy cushion. Plus a bottle of Nederburg’s Première Cuvée Brut sparkling wine, or a bottle of any varietal or blended wine from its The Winemasters collection. Look forward to a delicious spread of cheeses, charcuterie, summer fruit, onion jam, pâté, butter, crackers, and freshly-baked bread. There’s also Middle-Eastern spiced chicken fillet, bulgar wheat salad and harissa hummus, spinach and feta quiche, decadent chocolate brownies and Amarula fudge.

The picnic basket (a vegetarian option is also available), at R700, serves two adults. Soft drinks, mineral waters, beers, ciders, and hot beverages can be added, at an additional cost.

Kids’ picnics, at R140 per head, include a meal (from the kids’ à la carte menu), a fresh fruit skewer, mini cheeses, crackers, chocolate brownie and fudge, and a small fruit juice.

Picnics need to be booked at least 24 hours in advance.

The Manor Wine Tasting (+-30 minutes)
Choose five wines to taste from a regularly changing list of Nederburg wines, at R75 per person.

The Brew Tasting (+-45 minutes)
A selection of wines with single-origin and blended coffees as well as small food items (a first of its kind, as far as we know), at R165 per person.

Heritage Heroes Canapé & Wine Pairing (+-45 minutes)
Three delicious canapés paired with Nederburg’s Heritage Heroes collection of award-winning wines (The Anchor Man Old Vine Chenin Blanc, The Brew Master Bordeaux-style red blend and The Motorcycle Marvel Rhône-styled red blend). Choose between a meat or vegetarian option. R195 per person.

‘Dinner’ of Discovery Experience (+-60 minutes)
Taste your way through a three-course canapé-style food and wine pairing, first served blind-folded and then sighted. To add an extra dimension to the experience, the second and third courses are presented not only unseen, but also with the addition of evocative sounds. Discover what happens! R550 per person.
