Every Saturday, the movie magic travels to roving venues that allow for the usual perks of a perfect Galileo evening, offering the opportunity to tick off some new wine farms on the local travel list or a good excuse for another visit to an already firm favourite. This twelfth season ensures all the favourite venues stay firmly in place, so earmark the dates accordingly and enjoy the iconic settings such as Leopards Leap, Blaauwklippen, Nederburg, Glenelly, and Lourensford estates as you soak in the wonderous setting, fine wines and unrivalled scenic beauty of these crowd-pleasing venues.
In Stellenbosch, the Muratie Canvas at Muratie Wine Estate offers an all-weather experience in absolute comfort with the clear-view marquee, allowing 360-degree views of the surrounding Winelands. This is a new and unique offering which includes reserved, exclusive seating at the back, as well as delicious treats.
Just outside Stellenbosch, on the slopes of the Simonsberg mountains, Morgenhof Wine Estate shines as another new venue, where an unforgettable picnic on lush grass is topped only by fine wines and panoramic views. The Stellenbosch Waldorf School, part of the larger Spier Wine Estate, is another newbie sure to wow. This venue boasts a spacious lawn encircled by trees and mountains and is the perfect backdrop for family reunions and weekend plans that cater to all ages. Screenings such as “Lady and the Tramp” and “The Greatest Showman” will create lasting memories with your family under the starry skies.
