Nederburg Unveils The Courtyard & Jack Black's Taproom
08:41:00Nederburg’s just widened its repertoire to include a Jack Black’s Brewing Co craft beer taproom in its new easy-going The Courtyard.
The whole family is welcome and catered for, even well-behaved dogs (on leashes)!
From wine and beer tastings to specially designed food and wine pairings, gourmet pizzas, picnics and lawn games, super-casual The Courtyard has taken children into account in a big way with a thrilling and spacious play area, complete with zip line and loads of water fun.
“We’ve always been a family-friendly destination, but our revamped facilities are really next level,” says Thembi Ndwandwe, Nederburg’s destination manager. “We want everyone to make the most of the moment in a safe, relaxed and welcoming environment.”
If you’re in the mood for a chilled, enjoyable afternoon, The Courtyard delivers. The self-service counter offers the full range of Nederburg’s fine wines by the bottle or as part of a five-wine tasting, alongside delicious pizzas, and craft beer on tap at the Jack Black’s Taproom just across the courtyard. Pre-booked gourmet picnic boxes by the talented team at The Manor restaurant, right next-door, are also available.
Find a spot, unwind with great food, celebrated wines, and refreshing craft beer, all while the kids are entertained with a dedicated food and activity menu.
For wine enthusiasts, there are two unique tasting experiences. The Cheesy One offers an opportunity to match Nederburg wines with cleverly chosen cheeses and accompaniments. Palette & Pour pairs hand-painted artisanal chocolates with a selection of ultra-premium wines.
For added fun, guests can enjoy lawn games such as croquet and giant Jenga in the expansive courtyard or on the lawn, which stretches all the way to The Manor, Nederburg’s elegant restaurant led by chef Linda Trautmann.
Situated in the historic manor house dating back to 1800, The Manor offers a refined yet welcoming atmosphere perfect for hearty breakfasts (only on weekends), lunches, and special events, including weddings.
Prefer a picnic? Pre-book your picnic box, collect it from The Manor, and then relax under the trees in the gorgeous garden for a flavourful feast accompanied by Nederburg wines.
“We’re all about celebrating Nederburg’s rich heritage and offering food that reflects our values,” explains Ndwandwe. “We’re here to delight our regulars, locals, and visitors from far and wide with authentic flavours in an atmosphere of warm and gracious hospitality.”
